It wants to summarise it, suggest over it, and learn from it. Somewhere along the way, a private thought became raw material.
We built Sulata Note as a refusal. Nothing you write here is fed to anything — not for training, not for profiling, not for “improvement.” Your words are not an input. They are yours, full stop.
That is not a setting you switch on. It is the way the app is built: your notes live on your device, and we have no access to their contents. Privacy is becoming a commodity. We would rather make it a foundation — and for the notes that matter most, we built something stronger. We call it the Vault.
The Vault
The Vault is a separate private space inside Sulata Note. There is no password reset, no recovery code, and no back door. Like a proper heist-movie vault turned inside out, there is no second way in — not even for us.

Private Transfer
Scan a QR code, or type 3 everyday words. That’s the whole ritual.
It is the delivery that self-destructs, like a message in a spy film — never the note. The relay’s bundle expires; the received note does not. The note that arrives is the receiver’s to keep, and nothing about it is temporary.
Everything else
Open, write, and search with no connection at all. The whole app works in airplane mode, because it never needed the internet to begin with.
Label any note, on any plan — tags are free for everyone, forever. Search looks through them with no special syntax to learn.
Insert rows and columns right where your cursor is, and delete them just as cleanly. No wrestling.
Titles, text, and tags, searched on your device in an instant. Your searches go nowhere — they happen where your notes live.

LemonSqueezy supplies your license key after purchase. Copy that key, then open the activation screen in the Sulata Note app.
You write it on the train, underground, with no signal at all. At your desk, you scan a code and type nothing else. The note is on both screens now — yours on both, permanently — and the delivery is already gone, as if it never happened.
No account remembered you. No server read you. You just moved your own words from one of your pockets to the other.

Sulata Note is built on a single, non-negotiable principle: your notes stay on your device, and we have zero access to their contents. When you move notes between devices with a Private Transfer, they are locked before they leave your device.
This website (sulatanote.com) stores your theme preference in your browser’s localStorage after you choose a theme. It runs no general analytics, fingerprinting, profiling, or behavioral tracking. For affiliate purchase attribution, SulataNote.com automatically loads LemonSqueezy’s official affiliate mechanism. The public store slug sulatanote associates attribution with the Sulata Note store. Sulata.app does not perform affiliate tracking.
In the Sulata Note app, all notes, settings, and license state are stored exclusively in your browser’s IndexedDB on your local device. We operate no central database containing user notes. Your note content, titles, and metadata never reach our servers in readable form.
Your appearance preference (light, dark, or system) is stored in localStorage on your device only, solely to prevent a flash of unstyled content on page load.
To be clear about what is and is not protected: ordinary notes and ordinary tags are stored locally without password protection. They are not encrypted at rest. Anyone with access to your unlocked device and browser profile can read them. If you want password protection for particular notes, use the Vault described below.
The Vault is a separate private space available on Sulata Note Pro and Max. Vault note titles, content, tags, colour and pin state are encrypted locally on your device before they are stored, using a key derived from your Vault password.
Sulata.app does not perform affiliate tracking. Affiliate attribution occurs only on SulataNote.com. An affiliate visit can be identified through the aff query parameter. SulataNote.com automatically loads LemonSqueezy’s official affiliate mechanism, configured with the public store slug sulatanote, so LemonSqueezy can associate attribution with the Sulata Note store. LemonSqueezy is the affiliate attribution provider and merchant of record.
Attribution data is limited to the affiliate code and necessary timestamps. It does not include note content, note titles, searches, or activity in the app. SulataNote.com adds no custom attribution service or storage and collects no information beyond what the official LemonSqueezy mechanism requires. The site uses no general analytics, fingerprinting, profiling, behavioral tracking, or unrelated trackers.
LemonSqueezy controls any browser storage used by its official mechanism. The supplied integration does not establish the exact storage mechanism or retention period, so this policy does not claim a fixed period. You can remove locally stored attribution data through the applicable browser site-data controls for SulataNote.com and LemonSqueezy.
Private Transfer is a short-lived, one-time handoff between your own devices — it is not ongoing synchronization. Your notes are locked on your device before anything is sent; only a locked, unreadable bundle is uploaded to our relay, and the relay cannot open it. The relay never receives your raw 3-word code, and the key that unlocks your notes never leaves your devices. The locked bundle disappears the moment the receiving device downloads it, or after 5 minutes — whichever comes first. Our relay does not store raw IP addresses; for abuse prevention it keeps only short-lived rate-limit counters keyed by an irreversible one-way hash of the IP, removed automatically within an hour.
If you purchase a Sulata Note Pro or Max license, your license key and a device-specific instance ID are sent to our secure license proxy, which forwards the request to LemonSqueezy for validation. Only the license key and instance ID are sent — no note content, no personal data. After successful activation, your license state is stored locally on your device and verified silently every 7 days if you are online. LemonSqueezy acts as the merchant of record and payment processor for all Sulata Note purchases.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to request, export, or delete on our end. To delete your own app data, simply clear your browser’s site data for the app’s domain. We recommend exporting a JSON backup first.

By downloading, installing, or using Sulata Note (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited software license to use the App for personal or professional note-taking purposes. The Free tier is perpetually free. The Pro tier requires a one-time purchase and grants activation on up to 5 devices simultaneously. The Max tier grants activation on up to 10 devices simultaneously. You may not sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise commercially exploit the license key or the App, and you may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Sulata Note Max is the highest Sulata Note software license tier. It grants activation on up to 10 devices simultaneously and includes all features of the Pro tier, plus an exclusive animated prismatic avatar badge. The Max tier is a full-price software license purchase and is sold independently of the Pro tier. No prorated credit or price differential is applied if you hold an existing Pro license. By purchasing the Max tier, you acknowledge and accept these pricing terms.
Both Pro and Max license holders will receive all future premium features at no additional cost for the lifetime of their license. This commitment applies to features added after your purchase date. We reserve the right to determine which features are classified as “premium” vs “free” at our sole discretion.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You assume sole responsibility for your use of the App and for any data loss that may occur.
All notes are stored locally in your browser’s IndexedDB. We strongly recommend regular exports via the App’s backup feature. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from browser data clearing, device loss, or storage failure.
Vault data responsibility. The Vault is protected by a password that only you hold. We cannot recover it, reset it, or read your Vault notes on your behalf under any circumstances. If the password is lost, the Vault notes are permanently unreadable. You are solely responsible for remembering your Vault password and for keeping encrypted Vault backups.
If your Pro or Max license becomes inactive, your existing Vault is preserved and becomes read-only: you may still unlock it, read your notes, export an encrypted backup, lock it, or delete it. We never delete Vault data because a license lapses.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Sulata Note or its developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of your use of or inability to use the App.
We offer a 14-day refund window on all purchases. If you are not satisfied within 14 days of your purchase date, contact us at support@sulata.app with your order number and we will process a full refund, no questions asked. Refund requests made after 14 days are at our sole discretion. All purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy, the merchant of record.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the effective date above with each revision.
